Germany’s renewable energy revolution leaves UK in the shade
The country expects renewables to contribute 35% electricity by 2020 – no matter what the cost
I’ve seen this over the last few years driving through Germany. Quite a few houses have solar panels, but more significantly large numbers of farm buildings are covered in panels, there are wind turbines everywhere, and an ever-increasing number of biogas plants springing up – seemingly in the corner of every farm. It feels like they are at least five years ahead of the UK.
I could link to Danny’s blog all day, so much good stuff there.
